The Canadian Tamil Volleyball Association began as an informal gathering of newcomer families throughout Scarborough. Over more than three decades, it grew into a network of 29 clubs across the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal, Ottawa, and Vancouver.

Through the 1990s, our courts were a place of safety during difficult years. For new immigrants arriving with little else, they became the first place to make friends and feel at home in a new country.

Today CTVA coordinates tournaments, preserves our history, and advocates for the permanent facilities our community has earned.
